Saccharomyces boulardii

Saccharomyces boulardii is a transient, non-pathogenic yeast used as a probiotic. It survives gastric acidity and is not inactivated by antibiotics, making it highly effective in preventing antibiotic-associated gut flora disruption. It exerts anti-secretory, anti-inflammatory, and trophic effects on the intestinal mucosa.

Dosage by Body Weight

Can be taken with or without food. For sachets, empty the contents into water, milk, juice, or baby formula at room temperature. Do not mix with very hot or frozen liquids, or alcohol, as this can kill the live yeast. For capsules, swallow whole with water. Consult a pediatrician before administering to infants.
